As I look through my camera and I look at all the past looks this week I have created I have realized that this is what I love. This is that "calling" everyone so desperately looks to find. I have mine I found it. And my journey has just begun... I feel terrible I haven't blogged all week! Very busy hectic and of course running late I think It is safe to say I am a professional over sleeper. Not something I am particularly proud of but acceptance is the first step right? Well I plan on dedicating the majority of my day catching all you boys and girls up to speed starting with "try something new tuesday" starting off I wanted to use my anastasia dipbrow in ebony and lined then with the potted NW 45 concealer by MAC. I started the cut crease with Rimmel black potted gel liner and buffed it out with Lorac pro black shadow I also did my V area in my eye (where your lid and your waterline meet aka where crows feet start) with the Lorac pro color in black. I used also the urban decay naked 2 pallette foxy under my brow line then after I buffed out the cut crease in black I softened the color with sable from Lorac pro pallette as well since I knew I was going to use a semi bright color for the lid I didn't want my cut crease to be so bold with a bold color. I took a flat brush and packed on the color "fringe" on my lid then took my blending brush and buffed the black in my V line into the fringe... I did my foundation as normal and slightly highlighted and contoured. Finished my face off with MAC studio fix powder in NW 45... I am soo horrible totally forgot my lip color but will update you on the color later today and finished off my cheeks in black radiance toasted almond blush. This was my desk today I had it all planned that I was gonna have some interesting makeup tidbits to post today do a little interacting with you boys and girls but my boss lady had other plans lol so no makeup posts today but if stay tuned tomorrow I have some really interesting news!!!!! " I ain't one to gossip.. so you ain't hear it from me" Ms. Benita voice* let's take minute and put our makeup brushes down to have a very enlightening conversation..... We all have goals in life and some of us work harder than others at obtaining them. Some of us don't work hard at all but we point fingers at the ones doing it... Here's a jewel and you won't even have to pay me for it. Call it on the house. We ALL have the same 24 hours in a day to achieve whatever it is our hearts desire. The same amount of energy you put into your negative thinking or as I will call it "hating" you could take that time and put it into something that actually will give you a result because the hated on will STILL have what they have and you will have your envy, jealousy, and most importantly that unwanted visitor.. misery to keep you cold at night. Oh before I drop the mic not all blessings are created equal. What is deemed for 1 is not one size fits all it's custom and crafted for the deserving. When you realize that then you are half way there to being mentally ready to receive what God crafted for you. But you ain't hear it from me. 😉 What are your thoughts? Comments? Wow! Look at the difference of two years from just starting makeup til now I've come a long way. And I have some ways to go.....
Today I woke up on time however I just can't seem to get out the house on time but today I was a little more detailed on my makeup for "try something new Tuesday" everything that I did for minimal Monday still applies today except I swapped the red lip for a nude. (I will go into the lippie details in a minute) I experimented with urban decay ' s electric pallette and used Lorac pro pallette for my transition color. I will recreate this look and give you exact details in what colors I used in a future post. Of course my lippie is NYX cosmetics nude matte color and it's such a bold nude love love love it! Sooooo yeah If you have taken notice my blog says makeup and the other stuff that just means everything not pertaining to... well MAKEUP! So I decided to do a no meat lifestyle for 30 days. I'm a recovering fat girl and need to get on my weight loss mojo. Eventually I want to go pescatarian (or however it's spelled) so hopefully this blog can hold me accountable lol. Not that this is healthy but hey dag nabbit it's a start. P.S it's the week of pay week my pockets are on timeout this is what I can get for a few bucks 😂
So I guess the long detailed informative speech I was doing didn't save *side eye* well first things first primer is important keeps your makeup on your face you know by the end of the day you always notice your makeup just isn't the same? Primer has a lot to do with that... So find one that works for you right now I am using MAC prep and prime. Eyebrows: I use milani cosmetics easybrow pencil in dark brown. I clean it up with MAC NW 45 potted concealer I like it because it's thick and blends well when I line them. Foundation: I use MAC pro long wear NW 45 (😍😍😍😍 LOVE IT) gives me just the right amount of coverage) and does last all work day for me. Eyeliner: Rimmel gel liner in black is very cost effective and works REALLY well... for minimal Mondays you don't really have to do highlighting under your eyes but I did to set the highlight I used Rimmel perfect match in medium then Ben nye as a finishing powder. LIPS: I can write a whole blog about NYX cosmetics but that's another time I lined my lips with red liner and their matte monte carlo lip cremé (ugh just perfection) finished it up with Black Radiance toasted almond blush.... sounds like a lot but it's not. Alarm goes off at 4:00 am (the time I intended to wake up) 5:27 is when I actually get out of bed. Some would say that I'm making pretty good timing well not when you have to take the train to work. I am already late but I can't leave without at least putting on some kind of makeup.... However I did say I was late right?
Welp sometimes you won't be able to put on your Avent-garde (fancy word for detailed) so you put on your "minimal Monday" makeup what I like to call bold lip winged eyeliner can never go wrong. Stay tuned will post pictures...... 😗
