"Brows On By"

For some reason I look at brows as an important accessory to any makeup application. You can have great shadow a beat down highlight and contour but if those brows aren't done right it's like a wasted outfit. So I have been meaning to do this post for a while now and a lot of you have asked so here is my brow routine. Now the products that I use are a little on the high end which I will still give you what I use but to get a similar look for a fraction of the cost you can use these products I list below.(I will list the alternative products and the pictures at the end) So first for the products I use is Anistaisia Beverly Hills dipbrow pomade in Ebony and the angled brow liner (sold separately for $18 each and sold at Sephora) I line the bottom and the top and fill in my brows with the pomade on both sides. Then here's probably the only tricky part. To achieve that freshly "arched" look I use a combination of concealers and mix them for a semi-natural look I take my Morphe Brushes concealer pallette ($20 overstock.com or morphebrushes.com $18) and my Nars concealer($22 at sephora) and mix them to give me a shade that's about 4 shades lighter than my actual skin tone. Just like I lined my brows I will go carefully underneath and line the concealer once I do that I blend blend blend blend blend! Very important to blend as much as you can the better the blend the more "natural" the brows will look once you apply your foundation. Now, back up just a minute, I do use a different liner to line my brows with the concealer and you can use any brow liner brush (mines came from sephora as well $16) once you blend using your beauty blender (beautyblender $15 sephora) take your foundation and apply it all over your face and forehead and now you should have even toned and arched brows... See the pics below in the order I mentioned above. Drop a comment if you have any suggestions or questions for me. Later loveys!!!

P.S for the alternative brow pencil you can use milani cosmetics easybrow pencil in dark brown and it's sold online at milanicosmetics.com or at walgreens and to achieve a blended color for your arch you can take an existing concealer in your shade and mix it with the Rimmel concealer listed below and you can achieve a similar look!)

Success or Sleep you choose

I heard something the other day from a speaker that made me stop and think... seriously think... "if you're drowning what's the only thing on your mind?" "That's easy to breathe" I thought... and as I said that he said "you have to want to be successful just as much as you want to breathe.  You can't just wanna kind of breathe you want to breathe period by any means." So he went on to further explain " that's what you need to apply to whatever it is you want to accomplish in life. Honestly, I was stuck for about 30 mins thinking about that very statement. "Here I am I "claim" makeup and it's art is my life, so why haven't you blogged in almost two weeks." I had to check myself. Sometimes you have to give yourself a reality check and not allow life to take precedent over what makes you happy, in what drives you in what...moves...YOU. So at 11 pm last night I got up picked up my brushes and took my time and put in that work (loaded lux voice) lol *battle rapper reference* here are a few of my looks... before I sign off for the day let me leave this with you. I am nowhere in my career, my future, my life etc. Nor do I claim to be. so at the end of the day with that being said  I have to do something that will get me closer to that goal. I can't spend my time worrying about things or people who don't have the same goals and aspirations as me. Because, that very moment I give them (haters) a stage they are gonna act on it and they are not even in the script. You remember that too...Love yas! Drop me a comment.

Enough about me... check out my work!!

I have been giving you boys and girls makeup on me for all these past posts and I thought it was time to show you guys what my work is on other people... and two of my dear friends were crazy enough to let me use them as guinea pigs lol (I'm good though) first things first I am always so excited to dive right into starting a facebeat that I ALWAYS forget to take a before and after in the same sitting but I did get pics of these lovely girls of what they look like before make up. As I develop my routine I will organize my pictures to show more but take a look and tell me what you think!

Cut crease

It's just something about a cut crease eye shadow that captivates me. It's dramatic if done right it makes your eye pop and it looks very complex but in all actuality It's quite simple. It takes extreme precision and and steady hand but if done right very very pretty. Take a look at a few cut creases that I have done from the first time I tried to me getting used to doing it.

Horrible blog-mother

I feel terrible I haven't blogged all week! Very busy hectic and of course running late I think It is safe to say I am a professional over sleeper.  Not something I am particularly proud of but acceptance is the first step right? Well I plan on dedicating the majority of my day catching all you boys and girls up to speed starting with "try something new tuesday" starting off I wanted to use my anastasia dipbrow in ebony and lined then with the potted NW 45 concealer by MAC. I started the cut crease with Rimmel black potted gel liner and buffed it out with Lorac pro black shadow I also did my V area in my eye (where your lid and your waterline meet aka where crows feet start) with the Lorac pro color in black. I used also the urban decay naked 2 pallette foxy under my brow line then after I buffed out the cut crease in black I softened the color with sable from Lorac pro pallette as well since I knew I was going to use a semi bright color for the lid I didn't want my cut crease to be so bold with a bold color. I took a flat brush and packed on the color "fringe" on my lid then took my blending brush and buffed the black in my V line into the fringe... I did my foundation as normal and slightly highlighted and contoured. Finished my face off with MAC studio fix powder in NW 45... I am soo horrible totally forgot my lip color but will update you on the color later today and finished off my cheeks in black radiance toasted almond blush. If you have a comment or question drop below. See ya kids! Stick around I have some pics of my work on someone other than myself lol.
